Google’s Matt Cutts answers a question about effective link building in this video clip.
We couldn’t agree more with the comments he has to make here - it generally boils down to the same thing - give people something they want to link to. Now with SEO software like Search Engine Wizard, we can make the process a lot easier for you - but it should NOT make you lazy.
I’ve put together a video showing you exactly what to do to automate finding related blogs in Search Engine Wizard and inserting your comments into them. This one feature slashes the time you would otherwise need to find blogs and write out endless comments. You can download this #1 SEO Software right here on this page.
One well tried and tested SEO technique is the creation of a good sitemap which will tell the search engines exactly what you want them to know about your site.
With this in mind, we have just incorporated a new sitemap creator tool in Search Engine Wizard which takes all of the gruntwork out of this for you. You’ll simply run the program over your target URL and you can set a number of parameters such as suggested crawl rate depending on how frequently you update the site, as well a sitemap priority feature which automates the process of prioritising your pages for the search engines - this is a function of relative inbound links on each page from within your own site. However, you can manually edit the sitemap priority results as well.
In a matter of minutes Search Engine Wizard will crawl your site and produce a complete xml formatted sitemap for you to load up - we have also included direct links to Google, Yahoo and Bing webmaster services so that you make sure that the search engines know it’s there - in no time you’ll see your indexed page count soar.
I’m busy shooting Sitemap creation videos at the moment - when I’m done I’ll embed here so you can check it out.
We asked this question, what is the best seo software?, countless times of ourselves when we formulated search engine wizard over the last few years - we asked it repeatedly because we wanted to improve on what’s out there already and see seo software development as a constant work in progress.
The answer is that all seo software programs should be multifunctional, flexible and probably most importantly, offer continuous support and development for our existing users.
The simple fact is that when working with Search Engines, they change their programming all the time - this means whoever publishes search engine optimization software has to be right there to change the software programming. We test daily to see that everything is working and are continously monitoring SEM developments so that we can adapt as well.
From a commercial point of view, we also took the decision that we do not do subscriptions - when you buy your full copy of Search Engine Wizard Standard or Search Engine Wizard Enterprise, then that’s it - you get full functionality without having to pay someone for access to YOUR data every month.
With over 400 unique features programmed you’ll soon find that Search Engine Wizard is going to be certainly one of the best seo software programs on the market today. Don’t believe me? No problem - here’s the free seo software trial - see for yourself.
We’ve now added a new blog manager module for finding the most popular blogs for each keyword. What’s more, we have programmed the ability to rotate your anchor text and for Search Engine Wizard to auto fill the comment fields and name and address fields on each blog. This is great for link building as you quickly and easily reveal blogs, ranked by page rank and search engine rank that you can comment on and develop your link relationships.
Although you could use a generic comment, we advise strongly against that - you know how annoying it is to see dumb posts like “nice post, I will visit often” type comments. These add no value to anyone. Far better to start with a “generic” comment and read the post and modify it accordingly. You are now adding value to the blog and much more likely to have your comment approved. We’re committed to making Search Engine Wizard the most feature-packed SEO software on the market.

I saw this being asked online and answered it there, but will reproduce the answer here for anyone who may be confused with exactly what SEO is and isn’t.
Not exactly.
SEO stands for “Search Engine Optimization” and broadly describes the practice of applying techniques in website design, content and copywriting to structure the site in such a way the search engines will understand the content and rank that site higher than sites that have not been optimized.
There are numerous facets to seo, but broadly speaking it starts with keyword research and creating content focused around a keyword theme. Each page should incorporate that keyword theme as subject and in this way when someone searches on that specific keyword theme and the site is optimised well, then you should rank higher than sites that have not been optimised.
There are two broad elements to SEO: On page optimization refers to attending the actual structure of the elements of a webpage, while Off Page Optimization refers to developing a link strategy - or relationships with other sites. The more relevant inbound links a site has, then the more it is viewed as important.
Finally , all of this can be achieved much more effectively by using SEO software - which can greatly help you achieve these ends in a fraction of the time.
We’ve added a free link checking tool to our online tools page. You can check any broken link by simply entering the URL in the box provided and the tool will scan the page checking for any broken links and produce a report. It’s important for the overall SEO of your site that you make sure that your links are all working and this tool will help you do it.
I saw this question on answers.com and answered it there. But the difference between directories and search engines are important for understanding SEO issues. [click to continue…]
